Statistics show that nearly every family has in one way or another been touched by cancer; either through family or a friend. It is imperative that research continues if we are to halt this dreaded disease. This is what the Cancer Challenge is about - making your actions count.

So what can you do? Read on for a list of ideas. If any of these ideas interest you and you wish to contact Graeme, please refer to the Keep in Touch section in the column to the right.

Donate

Make a donation. This is one of the simplest and most effective ways you can help the Cancer Challenge cause. See Donation Box in the column to the right for more information on how to make a donation. Remember 100% of your donation will go to the Cancer Council of Tasmania.

Join the Ride

Join Graeme on his cancer research bike ride. The ride is an annual event (starting in March) and lasts for 12 days, traveling through various towns and cities. Details on request. It will require a donation to cancer research and an amount for expenses on-road.

Riders can be local Tasmanians, or originate interstate/overseas. 10-15 persons will be catered for, in hotel/motel accommodation, B&B, lunch on the road, and evening meals. Mountain bikes can be hired. A backup bus is provided.

It will be an ideal token of respect for someone you have lost or are losing to cancer.

Organise an Event

Organise a charity event for when Graeme passes through your home town. You can collect donations on Graeme's behalf leading up to his arrival. Then receive recognition for your efforts by presenting the collective donations to Graeme himself. This is a great activity for a school or an individual. Contact Graeme for the list of locations that he will be passing through on his next ride.

Note - you must contact Graeme and seek his permission before associating Graeme's name (or the Cancer Challenge) to your fund raising event.

The Cancer Challenge ride is not possible without help from our sponsors. Sponsors cover expenses (including travel and marketing), allowing 100% of donations to go to the Cancer Council of Tasmania.

In return, sponsors will receive the following benefits :

• Association with a high-profile non-profit charity that is Graeme Milburn's Tasmanian Cancer Challenge
• Association with Graeme Milburn, nationally recognised for his services to cancer research and various other charitable activities
• Your business/company will receive positive exposure to the public at large (domestic and international) during the Cancer Challenge ride as Graeme and his associates tour Tasmania.
• Positive exposure through promotional activities outside of the Cancer Challenge ride (including this website).
